Groups and Clubs

  • Beer Nuts. Join us as we sample various brews and learn more about the wonderful world of beer in each other’s homes and on field trips.
  • Book Club. Get together with fellow book enthusiasts to converse, discuss and debate current bestsellers and classics alike. We meet monthly (except summer) in members’ homes on Sunday nights 7 p.m.
  • Dining Out. Try some of the Milwaukee area’s hottest new restaurants and old standards while getting to know your neighbors better.
  • Helping Hands. For the past few years the dining out group decided that after 11 months of eating out we would spend the November date serving food at the Gathering. Building on that spirit we will be offering a quarterly volunteer service day. This a great way for adults and teens to spend a few hours giving back to the community.
  • Kneeland-Walker Volunteer Corps. Join your neighbors to help out the Wauwatosa Historical Society at special events that require additional volunteers, including the Firefly Art Fair or the Mystery at the Mansion, and for ongoing needs, such as seasonal gardening.
  • Movie Club. Good movies can entertain, educate and inspire us; and afterwards good discussion enhances the experience. Come to watch a movie or just come for the discussion held on the fourth Sunday of the month.
  • Preschool. The playgroup meets monthly allowing parents and their young children to get out and meet new neighbors.
  • Restoration. Serves as an important network of support and information for members undertaking the restoration or remodeling of their older homes.
  • Seniors Activity/60+. A very active group that attends functions such as plays, luncheons and tours, as well as meeting in members’ homes for coffee.
  • Sheepshead. The Sheepshead card-playing group meets monthly. It is a “low-stakes” game combined with socialization, food and beverages. The group welcomes new participants of all skill levels and those who would like to learn the game.
  • TGIF Happy Hour. Open your home to a neighborhood TGIF. Good food, drink and friendly neighborhood faces lend to a casual and fun filled Friday evening.
  • The Winers. The Winers offers members the opportunity to sample wines from all over the world. We meet in members’ homes and occasionally take excursions to wineries and retail establishments.
